I need to have a better day than yesterday and it doesn't look easy. Yesterdays two bets ran ok although never really looked like winning.
Nottingham 4.40-I like the look of Garud here for Marco Botti teaming up with Tom Queally. 1mile is the right trip and hopefully this better ground will see him run a better race than LTO and will hopefully settle early. Maali looks the obvious big danger for Clive Brittain having a big drop in class, but is odds on and @9/4 I'll stick with Garud.
Kempton 8.50-Red gulch @9/2 for Ed Walker is a very reliable type and should at least give me a good run for my money. He won over a mile LTO in a very competitive Goodwood race and although has gone up 6lb looks the one to beat. I would also expect Layline to run well and Benandonner is a consistant old type aswell.
Newbury 3.45-Cockney Fire might be worth a very small each way bet at odds of around 14/1. This race is a very competitive one for the fillies and although she has won on her last two occasions, also with Cathy Gannon on board, this is a huge step up literally in to the unknown.
