Having mentioned in yesterdays blog that I thought Census would run a big race at around 5/1 and not backed it myself, yes you've guessed it won very well. This was to be the start of a long and sorry day from a betting perspective yesterday. Musir drifted badly and could only manage to finish third in the Hungerford behind the once again impressive Excelebration, who would be interesting to see against Frankel again this year with Marco Botti claiming he needed the run LTO. Pie Poudre finished fifth at 20/1, but wasn't too far back and I would still keep an eye out for that one as I would expect there's a race to be won there at a nice price. Having come from opposite sides of the track both Waffle and Fathsta finished next to each other in seventh and eighth, but were never going to win. I haven't seen Ginger Teds race yet, but was very dissapointed with the result and by how far he was beaten.
