Review of bets 08/08/11

Lingfield 2.30 Green Wadi proved once more to be a tricky ride for George Baker. Never got settled and got progressively worse, too bad to be true. Eventually finished last. Mick Channons Highlife Dancer was always going to be the danger and won it well going away in the end.

Wolverhampton 3.15 Glenridding put up another strong front running performance to win @5/2. The strong tail wind helped as he went clear at the bend, although looked to tie up and got closed down by Polemica near the line. Result never really in doubt and won by a length and a half.

Thirsk 6.00 Time To Excel ran a poor race and never looked like winning. Dutch Heritage was always going to be the one to beat for Hanagan and Fahey. Time To Excel finished about seven lengths down in eight place.

Thirsk 8.00 York Glory ran another good race and after a couple of seconds got back to winning ways at a price of 2/1. Even with a five pound swing York Glory was still good enough to hold off Thirteen Shivers by a neck.

So two winners out of four bets is quite good even at 5/2 and 2/1 it still shows a decent profit for the day.
